Meet Sophie - Founder of Sophie's Studio
With a lifelong love for art and a spirit for adventure, I began my creative journey studying Art and Design at Swansea University. But a calling to see the world and serve others led me to the Royal Navy, where I qualified as a medic and later specialised as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) in 2016.
Over a decade of service took me across the globe, working in high-pressure environments, meeting extraordinary people, and collecting stories that stayed with me. Throughout it all, art remained a constant — a quiet passion I returned to whenever I could. While on deployment, I created and auctioned original artworks at mess functions in support of military charities. Some of those pieces are now proudly displayed aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth.
Sophie’s Studio is the natural fusion of these two paths — storytelling and service, creativity and character. Today, I create bespoke A3 playing card portraits that honour personal stories, careers, achievements, and moments in time. Each piece is a tribute, a conversation starter, and a unique reflection of the people who inspire them.

Since establishing Sophie’s Studio, I have been honoured to collaborate with several renowned charities, including the Royal British Legion, Hero Paws, and The British Red Cross, among others. Through bespoke artworks, limited edition prints, and charity auctions, Sophie’s Studio has helped raise funds and awareness for causes close to my heart.
Each piece created not only celebrates individual stories but also supports the wider community, continuing the spirit of service that has been at the core of my journey. Giving back through art has become a meaningful way to blend creativity with compassion, making every commission both personal and purposeful.
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for bold, vibrant colours, Sophie’s Studio has recently expanded into a new line of interior design decorations. This includes beautifully crafted candles, unique ornaments, and customised gifts — each reflecting the same storytelling spirit and artistic flair found in the bespoke playing card artworks. These pieces bring a touch of personality and colour into homes, making art a part of everyday life.
